This past Monday, America celebrated sweet justice in the start of the construction of the MLK monument on the National Mall. You know Jesse and Al was up in that piece along with many other notable African American dignitaries such as Barack up in there kicking some knowledge, as well as Oprah and Tavis Smiley celebrating along with the King kids (minus eye candy Dexter). However, as with anything that is up to the public consensus, this project is experiencing some discontent among the population. Millions of dollars were raised however, some felt that the money could have been put to better use or that some of the celebrities were only there to soak up free publicity. Listen to the following commentary on some of the views of various African Americans. I personally disagree with the last speakers statements, what do you think then let it marinate.
